Services for parents

As specialist special educational needs (SEN) solicitors we understand that SEN law can be complicated and appeals can be emotionally draining.

Getting an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for your child is not a quick process or indeed a straightforward one. It involves following a specific set of legal procedures and tests and putting together evidence from educational, medical, social care and other professionals to develop a picture of your child and the help they require.

We have considerable experience in helping parents and families get through this process as quickly and as stress free as possible.

We can help at all stages, whether it’s discussing what needs to be done before a request for an EHC needs assessment is made, through to appealing against the contents of a Statement or EHCP. This can include preparing evidence, instructing experts, liaising with the local authority, schools and case managers through to drafting Tribunal documents and representing parents at the hearing.

We are happy to help with all of these, but if you have any issues that are not in this list please call us to discuss them. It is very likely that we will be able to help.

If you would like to talk about your child’s special educational needs then please contact us at [email protected] or call 0800 884 0723 – our dedicated special educational needs solicitors are here to help.
