Visual impairment

A visual impairment (VI) is a physical difficulty with the way visual information is carried through the eye into the brain.

Visual impairments can vary significantly. It is broadly recognised as being a disability and, therefore, may result in special educational needs (SEN).

In our experience, because visual impairments relate to a physical disability, the focus is often on health care provision and physical adaptations. However, a child with visual impairment may require changes to the way that people communicate with them, support with social communication and need different styles of education. In some cases SEN additional support may be adequate, however, in our experience an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) will be necessary.

I am so happy at the outcome, I don't think we would have had such a comprehensive service from any other law firm, and you took the worry away...I do not regret a single second of the whole process, apart from the bit before you got involved.
